September 25, 2008 marked twenty-five years since the passing of Jim O’Brien, Action News anchorman and weatherman who died in a skydiving accident. This video clip was from the 11 PM edition of Action News on September 25, 1983 and features: – A report about the skydiving accident filed by reporter Verdon Odom. – A look back at O’Brien’s career at Channel 6 by former anchor Chris Wagner. – And a poignant tribute by current weeknight anchor Jim Gardner.
